These days, theme parties are popular; you name it, there is a theme to match an occasion. From all-white to retro, from company colours to the season of the year, there is a workable theme. So, you could get together with friends and have a gift-wrapping party or a room-decorating party and swap ideas.

But Flair is more interested in what to wear to the many parties this season, so take a look at these pictures and see if you get any inspiration.

FASHION TIPS

1. Go shopping in your closets first because chances are, you have pieces that you could mix and match. Plus, you will only be wearing the costume once.

2. If you have to shop. buy the cheapest items.

3. For retro parties, go 'shopping' in your mother/grandmother's closet.

4. Remember that theme parties are for fun and you will probably be photographed several times, so interpret the theme well. There is usually a prize for the best interpretation of the theme/costume, so do some research before you put the outfit together.
