York and Yallahs will contest the final of the James Robertson knockout competition to be held at York Oval on November 29.
In last weekend's semi-finals, York lived up to expectations by outscoring defending champions Prospect 4-2 on penalties, but Yallahs spoiled the party, surprising Bath United 4-3 in another penalty shoot-out.
In the first encounter at Lyssons, both Prospect and York treated the crowd with some attractive football, on an ideal surface. Both teams squandered numerous opportunities and at the end of regulation and extra times the teams were locked at 0-0.
In the second game, Yallahs came out blazing and were rewarded in the 11th minute when Dushane (Peter) Robinson netted in the first half.
Bath had territorial control in the second half but they were lucky not to have conceded at least two more goals.
In the 78th minute, a tiring Dushane Robinson committed an infringement in his penalty area and Kenrick Sinclair made no mistake, beating goalkeeper Ricardo Beckford to his right to equalise for Bath. With the score remaining level after regulation and extra time the dreaded penalty kicks decided the outcome.
