1. Plan for when you would like to, and will be financially ready, to start a family.
2. Encourage your child to be independent at self-tasks such as feeding, dressing and using the toilet.
3. Praise your child's achievements to help him/her develop confidence.
4. Get involved in school activities, such as the PTA.
5. Make sure your child is healthy and ready for school by feeding him nutritious meals and making sure he gets enough rest.
6. Take your child to a health professional for regular check-ups and immunisations.
7. Spend quality time reading, talking and playing with your child each day.
8. Go on regular family outings, e.g. to parks, beaches
9. Save towards your child's education.
