American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts, Airtours International, Bayside Travel, Classic Vacations, Island Destinations, Jamaica's Assurance Brokers and Caribbean Producers were among the valued partners honoured by Half Moon on Friday, October 30.

Breaking from the hustle and bustle of business to sample the award-winning Fern Tree Spa, party on the beach and then to don formal attire, travel professionals and industry partners were fêted in fine style on the resort's fifth Ambassador weekend. The treat was in recognition of their role in helping the hotel to weather the twists and turns of 2009.

"The value of partnership has meant more than ever before. The concept of out-of-the-box thinking is more than marketing jargon, it is now an essential way of life," noted the resort's managing director, Richard Whitfield, in his address to the large number of partners who turned out for the fun-filled event.

Whitfield in his brief address said that most importantly, the challenges of 2009 that tested the mettle of individuals as well as companies had ensured that the word 'team' took on an even greater meaning, "becoming a call to arms and a badge of brotherhood" for his team.

Admitting that although it was said year after year, its meaning and truth could never be diminished, "Half Moon's success would not be possible without you. For this we are truly in your debt," he said, thanking the many, which included, representatives of Valerie Wilson Travel, PGA Magazine, LIBGO, Protravel International, Travel Impressions, Caribbean Hotels, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Elegant Resorts, Expedia.com, ITC Classics, Perfect Escapes and Rich Worldwide Travel.
