For 25 years, Flair has been putting Jamaican women in the spotlight. For our 25th anniversary, we turned the cameras on ourselves. Yes, members of the Lifestyle desk became covergirls. Some viewed it with trepidation (Sacha, I'm not saying you), others accepted it for what it was - our celebration.
We also have a special treat for you - take a look into some of the things you did not know about us and look closely at our packaged lists of 25 and tell us why you have remained faithful to Jamaica's number one women's magazine every Monday for the past 25 years.
We will publish them next week.
Our actual birthday is Friday, October 16 so check out the snapshots from our party next Monday too.

Make-up artist Camille Ste-phenson adding the finishing touches to our model, Charlotte Chantiloupe. - photo by Nashauna Drummond
The Spanish Court Hotel, St Lucia Avenue, in New Kingston, was kind enough to accommodate a bunch of women with wardrobe and all the drama for the day. Thank you so much Lee-Ann Godfrey - hope we didn't give you too much trouble! Also, thanks to Charlotte Chantiloupe and Maurice Bryan, you both were good sports.
Make-up
A long-time friend of the desk, make-up artist Camille Stephenson, had her hands full, but did a wonderful job. After each girl was done the others would say, 'you look nice' (they weren't lying, we looked fabulous). As each girl got up and went to the mirror, she exclaimed, "wow, so much make-up!" For this specific purpose, it was necessary. With the hottest outfits courtesy of Kerry-Kays and Male Ego, we were ready for our close-up.
The shoot
The entire process took the entire day, but that's how photo-shoots are. You would not believe the amount of work that goes into the end-product that you see in the paper every Monday. But guess you could say we do this all the time.
We hope you enjoy this issue and celebrate with us as we share ourselves with you and show you some behind-the-scenes photos.
