National Commercial Bank held its long-service awards celebration at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel last Tuesday.
The Venetian Room at the Terra Nova All-Suite Hotel was last Tuesday evening a haven for employees and associates of National Commercial Bank. It was for a good reason which required a bit of celebration, as colleagues and associates turned out to celebrate with long-service awardees.
After being greeted by Miss Jamaica World, Kerrie Baylis, and Jodiann Ramden, guests enjoyed a bit of mingling over drinks and live music from Wayne Armond and Friends.
With the emcee being Winston 'Bello' Bell, guests were not spared from his jokes which had many occasionally erupting in ear-splitting laughter.
Entertainment
What would an awards function be without entertainment? Well, the organisers served up a very spicy package, inviting 2008 Digicel Rising Stars winner, Cameal Davis, and the Bethel Baptist Dance Troupe. Davis had guests dancing and singing along with her and, at times, invited persons to join her on stage. During her encore performance she performed her single, Spotlight, accompanied by two back-up singers, courtesy of NCB.
During the awards presentation guests were transformed into cheerleaders in support of their fellow colleagues. The loudest cheers, a standing ovation and musical prelude, came for Sandra 'Sandy' Folkes. Awarded for her 40 years of service to the organisation, Folkes was definitely the lady of the evening.
At the end of the awards the 'You Deserve It' cake was cut and it was time for more drinks, food and music to end the night on a high.
