Great Scot! - Story comes to bump for Amina

Blackwood-Meeks

Jamaica's Amina Blackwood-Meeks has been selected to take part in a Scottish storytelling festival from October 24 to November 1 as part of the celebration of the Scottish Year of Homecoming.

Olivia Grange, Jamaica's minister of culture, who had recommended Blackwood-Meeks, said the raconteur's prowess was well known.

Grange told the Scottish Storytelling Centre that Black-wood-Meeks, a former Gleaner columnist, "will bring to your programme the very best of Jamaican tradition" in the area of storytelling.
