IT IS totally unbelievable that after all that has happened in Jamaica, with regards to dual citizenship and politics, the opposition People's National Party still had people in Parliament who had pledged allegiance to other countries. This is the same opposition which took the ruling Jamaica Labour Party members of parliament with dual citizenships to court over breaching the constitution of Jamaica, for which they are also guilty.

Con artists

This is a classic case of believing that the laws of the land only apply to some people. To now announce publicly that they will renounce their other citizenship is taking Jamaicans for fools. Are we that blind that we cannot see and know we are being led by some con artists? True, some are quite innocent, but to score political points by pointing out others' fault when you are guilty of the same is nothing short of criminal!

Another thing. What is to become of Jamaica? The country is being overrun by criminals, extortionists, con artists, thieves and murderers who do what they want, when they want. I fear for myself and family everyday. We have come to the reality that when we leave home in the mornings for school and work, there is a high probability that we may have seen each other for the last time alive. To make it through the day, to be reunited with your family at the end of the day, is an act of the Almighty. A miracle. We live in expectation of being murdered or kidnapped, raped and tortured, left for dead in some lonely bush everyday. Future? I see none until this crime problem is solved.
