Miss Jamaica Universe 2009, Carolyn Yapp, is heading off to The Bahamas to compete in the Miss Universe pageant later this month, on August 23. She hopes to wow judges with her style and personality.
On Saturday, August 1, the 25-year-old gave us a peek at the pieces she will be taking with her to the pageant. We also got to look into her personal closet and let's just say she has some fabulous shoes. Turns out our little Miss Universe is quite a fashionista, so Flair had to get inside her head which, hopefully, will come back with a crown on it.

(1) Describe your style
My style is very eccentric ... I have a little piece of everything in my wardrobe! Very trendy pieces, but mostly very classic.
(2) Favourite (prized) outfit
More like my most-prized shoes!
My most-prized shoes are my Very Prive Christian Louboutin pumps. I waited in line for three hours to have them signed by the designer himself! I almost got fired from my job. He wrote "to the prettiest!"
I also cherish my cobalt jewelled Manolo Blahniks and gladiator Christian Diors - both from the Sex and the City movie.
(3) Favourite brand
My favourite brand for shoes and handbags is Jimmy Choo.
For clothing, I like Marciano, Elizabeth and James, LaRok, Karta, Marc Jacobs and Catherine Malandrino. I also love to thrift shop. You can find some really nice vintage pieces really cheap and dress them up. I love turning junk into something fabulous!
(4) Favourite colour
I love every colour! But I have been going through my wardrobe recently and I have realised that I have a lot of yellows and greens.
(5) If you could be any fashion item what would you be?
I'd definitely be a Birkin Bag, by Hermes, in orange.
(6) What's your fashion obsession?
I love everything! Clothes, shoes and bags. It doesn't matter if it's designer or not, once it looks good and makes me feel good, I'm happy!

Dresses and heels. They make me feel ultra feminine, confident and sexy.
