President of the Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA), Doran Dixon, and members of the Association, note with deep regret the passing of Sydney Oliver Ramsay, prominent educator, lifelong member, former liaison officer and senior secretary, Teachers' and School Services.

Dedicated educator

Ramsay served the education system for 31 years, the association and teachers of Jamaica as a dedicated executive member and member of staff for 18 years.

We recall with honour his dedicated service to our membership and the country.

We cherish fond memories of his work and worth and express sincere condolences to his wife, Urceline, his children, relatives, friends and associates.

May his soul rest in peace.
