Bring back the death penalty
The Editor, Sir:

I would like to know what the Government is doing with all those criminals and thugs who are causing so much trouble with increasing crime in Jamaica, kidnapping, raping, murdering; and those involved in fraud and stealing. All these people who are committing these crimes should be put away for life.

I think the Government needs to introduce the death penalty for anyone who carries any illegal firearm, shooting to kill, rob with a firearm. Jamaica is slipping away from the rule of law, with rising crime. What is the prime minister doing for the safety and security of Jamaicans?

The only solution to this problem of crime in Jamaica is to find a firm leader to rule with an open mind and seriousness. We don't need a cowardly leader who bows to the pressure of human rights groups and the Church. We need someone who can stand up for what is right, we need a leader who believes what is right for the country.

I am, etc.,
