After leading Jamaica's bowling charge in the recently concluded WICB regional four-day championship, in which he ended with a league topping 52 wickets, leg-spinner Odean Brown carried over his good form to his local club, the St Catherine Saints.
Under the captaincy of Tamar Lambert, Brown claimed a match haul of nine wickets against newcomers Hanover Dolphins in their two-day Jamaica Super Cricket League (JSCL) encounter at Jarrett Part, to propel the defending champions to the top of the standings.
The former St Jago High player, who was tops last year in the JSCL with 33 wickets, bagged 4-31 in the first innings and 5-36 in the second against as the debutants succumbed to his quick leg-spin, which has over the years won him many a praise.
Brown and his teammates will turn their attention to the Manchester Lions in this weekend's feature game of the JSCL at Chedwin Park.
