League champions Scotiabank copped nine awards at the Norman Goodison Western Sports/Jamaica Automobile Association Inter-Bank football presentation ceremony held at the Scotiabank Sports Club, last Wednesday evening.

To cap it all, Scotiabank, who went through the league unbeaten, also won the dress parade. All awardees received a $3,000 gift voucher from Western Sports.
Meanwhile, Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) collected the five-a-side championship trophy, having beaten Scotiabank 3-2 in the final at the beginning of the season, while the MVP award went to Marlon Smith of JNBS.
Referee awards went to Rinaldo Francis, Carlton Harriott Houslin and Nakassa Martin. Guest speakers were Carl Chang, CEO of Western Sports, and Allan Beckford, general manager of the Jamaica Automobile Association.
Cable and Wireless will oppose Jamalco in the second semi-final of the Digicel 20/20 cricket competition today at Cable and Wireless Sports Club, Chalmers Avenue, starting at 11 a.m.
The winner of this match will take on St. Ann Jamaica Bauxite in the final on a date and venue to be announced.
Even in the absence of new national selectees, Yannick Elliott and Horace Miller - both on national duties in the regional one-day competition - Cable and Wireless are favoured to win, with the likes of Melbourne Super League players Andre McCarthy, Damion Jacobs and Dave Johnson in their lineup.
Bad weather again played havoc with the Business House cricket fixture last Sunday, as both matches scheduled had to be postponed.
The big 35-over semi-final clash between defending champions Cable & Wireless and Jamaica Broilers, which should have been played at Chalmers Avenue, was one of the matches affected. This has been rescheduled.
So, too, is the Reggae Jammin 50-over semi-final match between Jamaica Broilers and St Ann Jamaica Bauxite which should have been played at Spring Village, St Catherine, on November 2.
According to Paul Edwards, secretary of the Business House Cricket Board, the plan was to finish the season by the end of this month, but the competitions could go well beyond that point.
"Today, we have a rescheduled semi-final, but we would have liked to have another match or two in light of the many postponements in recent weeks due to the inclement weather. The problem is that the same teams are involved in the semi-finals of all four competitions and it is impossible to have them playing on the same day in more than one match."
Former Prime Minister Edward Seaga will be the guest speaker at the KSAFA/Western Sports Business House football awards dinner scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday night at the Scotiabank Sports Club, 125-127 Old Hope Road.
Carib Cement will receive the Division One trophy, having beaten arch-rivals The Gleaner in extra time at the Edward Seaga Sports Complex in August.

In addition, awards will be presented to the MVP in each division, as well as leading goalscorers, coach of the year, manager of the year and also to the team adjudged the most disciplined.
