LETTER OF THE DAY - Government not coming clean
THE Editor, Sir: IT IS WELL over one year since the Bruce Golding-led government has been in control of the administration of our nation state. I welcomed the change of administration last year against the background of a number of factors.
We need to stamp out crime
THE EDITOR, Sir: IT IS indeed with a heavy heart that I write this letter in utter outrage at the recent spate of vicious attacks on our citizens, particularly our children. Our nation is in a state of anarchy as every day we hear of murders, abductions or rumours of abductions involving mostly children.
Church must stand ready
The Editor, Sir: This is in response to the Devon Dick column of November 13 headlined 'Close churches for six months.' Dear Pastor Dick, I read your article in The Gleaner and was very impressed with your insight into the situation in Jamaica with regard to the Church and children.
Many thanks
THE EDITOR, Sir: Many thanks for the lovely review of my book, City of Kingston Souvenir 1807-2006. It is important to note that among the judgements made of a people, the capital of its nation is critical.
