I am alarmed at the recent abductions occurring in our country.

Where on earth has this demon appeared from? The nation needs to return to God. We need to get back to the basics of life. We need to pray until something happen. We serve a risen Saviour and absolutely nothing can happen that God cannot handle.

Gone are the days when parents used to be protective of their children. The society has become so callous, so unfriendly and so unkind. It is so sad that when a prominent figure or a 'don' is killed, a massive protest is staged, and when a child goes missing or is killed, the society remains silent.

Persons, inclusive of children, need to be conscious of their surroundings, be alert, aware, and observant of individuals around them, and take the necessary precautions.

The onus is on us parents to sensitise our children to the dangers lurking in society and the proactive approach to take.

Perpetrators, give our children the chance, the opportunity to live and enjoy their childhood. Please! do not rob them of that privilege.
